I have had the same injury, the pain is excruciating, it made me feel powerless, it happened on my first lap down a blue trail at winter park's lift access bike park in colorado during a month long road trip with this girl I just met, was living the dream until that day when I lost the front tire on a corner. next thing I know road trip is over, I'm in the worst pain of my life, and on my way back home for surgery. it took about 6 months to return to riding.

Pinkbike Poll: What Would You Change About the Mountain Bike Scene Where You Live?
I just want to say I feel like this article or post is one of the first I’ve read in a while that has got me excited to read. I think more content like this would be great because it’s easy for the mtb community to relate and be involved in. We don’t need to be reading about who’s the new ceo of a bike brand, a 14 pound mountain bike that costs $20,000 to build, or whether - 32/29 is the next “trend” .

@Spetsa: Really makes me wonder how they quantify the value of these sponsorships. It's not like I'm going to suddenly go out and buy a Redbull or start drinking them regularly just because a rider I like is sponsored by them. Is it just - well they won a race so now we see value in having our brand on potential future podiums? Am I missing something here, are there fans out there that actually equate winning = I must drink redbull drinks and I will win like them? Lol
