@moutnbiker: The problem that we have locally is that ICE and CBP are not doing their jobs lawfully. ICE and CBP HAVE grabbed kids at bus stops in my community, they HAVE grabbed kids leaving school in my community, and they HAVE been on school grounds in my community. They violently took a legal worker from a friend's restaurant and flew him to Texas. A caravan of three vehicles followed my carpenter friend home from his jobsite because he had a white pickup with ladders, then left him alone when they circled him at the gas pump and saw he was white. They followed people from a local church delivering groceries. These tactics do not instill a sense of law and order, but they do make people feel fearful and intimidated. I'm not sticking up for criminals; I care about my neighbors and community and the widespread affects the federal government's actions have on my neighbors and community. I would like everyone who thinks that this is about Minneapolis violently protesting ICE and CBP removing criminals to ask themselves how they would feel if their legal neighbors were being subjected to the same treatment.

Wolf Tooth isn't supporting criminals and illegals. They are supporting their community that is dealing with heavy-handed armed and masked federal agents that are detaining people that are legal to be here, going into homes of legals without warrants, grabbing kids from schools and bus stops, grabbing workers from their jobs, and demanding ID from black and brown people on the streets. CBP and ICE tactics are the problem in Minneapolis. People that are legal to be here are afraid to go out in public because it's detain first and ask questions later. As a community, we are taking time to support legal immigrants that are too fearful to go grocery shopping or go to work. The community is doing things like delivering groceries to people afraid to leave their homes and helping with rent assistance. Seems like a responsible thing for a company to support and I'm glad that Wolf Tooth is in my community.

Over 100 Memorial Rides Planned to Honor Alex Pretti
ICE is taking people that are legal here and shipping them to Texas before they can get due process. They are taking kids from schools. They are taking working people from their workplaces. They are breaking into homes without warrants. They are roaming our streets wearing masks, carrying long guns, and lobbing tear gas. People that are legal are sheltering in their homes because they are afraid of getting hauled off. People are missing work and school, afraid to even get groceries. This is so much more than immigration enforcement. Alex might have done things differently than some would, but he didn’t deserve a death sentence. Neither did Renee.

Pinkbike Poll: The 2025 MTB Damage Inventory
@Jvhowube: I think mine was more of a worst case scenario and I'm just finishing up with rehab. Broke it on 7/3/23 and the first ortho doctor 'fixed' the ulna and said I'd be back on my bike in 8 weeks. He missed the radial head, torn ligaments, nerve damage, and he made my ulna too long when he screwed it back together. Had a total of 5 times under anesthesia for 10 procedures between the first ortho and the next two. I'm at about 60% strength, finally have almost full range of motion, elbow is mostly pain-free, and looking forward to being done with this whole mess. I was able to ride as a sweeper for the slow kids on my kids' middle school team in the summer of 2024. Last summer I was able to ride at a high level (for me), but I got a late start and had to end it early because of pain in my forearm and shoulder. Hopefully yours is quicker, mine was drawn out due to the combination of injuries and the first doctor being inept.

Pinkbike Poll: The 2025 MTB Damage Inventory
@Jvhowube: Did the same plus compound fracture of the ulna and tore up some ligaments and nerves. Not sure how I landed because my handlebars broke and it happened fast. I was wearing elbow pads - they helped hold my arm together until I got to the ER where they cut the elbow pad off.

Canyon Announces MX Variant of Neuron:ON Bosch-Powered eMTB
@cerealkilla: I saw fires when I searched for the issue online, so I pulled the battery and recycled it. My mountain bikes pretty much sit idle from December to March every year because of winter, so I didn't think getting a battery in March would be much of a problem. If I knew it would take this long, I'd probably have done what you did. The communications I get from Canyon make it sound like all batteries are delayed, but real-world accounts make it sound like the replacements are just inconsistent. I asked canyon for a replacement bike and they replied stating that the battery is just a component of the bike and full bike replacement isn't a resolution. I said that I could remedy the problem myself if the issue was with something like a bottom bracket or headset, but that the battery is an integral part of this bike. They didn't see much validity in my point and thanked me for my patience. Watch for a sweet deal on this bike in the buy/sell this November... as soon as I get a battery I'm done with Canyon.

Canyon Announces MX Variant of Neuron:ON Bosch-Powered eMTB
@cerealkilla: I bought mine new, submitted the claim right away, and I'm still waiting. Initially was supposed to be last March, then July, now November. I think the stop-ride order came in December 2024, so best case for me is a complete season of my bike collecting dust.
