A young private with a handlebar moustache and strong English accent interrupted the squadron leaders though ‘Is everything okay, sir?’ ‘Do you know anything on tactical market research sabotage?’ ‘Some, sir. I know whatever research we turn out, gets turned into watered down product and sold right back to us’ the young private replied For the first time in years, squadron leader Kaz’s eyes began to twinkle, ‘Exactly, young Dario! Then I think I have a plan!’

‘Gian Cla Haller is developing an enduro bike that he claims is the future of enduro riding…’ The year is 2027. A lone rider rolls up to the clapped-out starting gate of some old two-wheeled down mountain race from yesteryear. The rider places their feet down and looks around at the desolate surroundings. Nothing but rocks, shrubb and a single burnt branch on the jagged outcrop. A flattened energy drinks can pokes out from the top soil. Tattered uci flags dance in the wind. A crow peers on from the burnt log… stares… then caws. The rider breathes it in. ‘Final stage’, they whisper under their helmet. Then with a thrust of the pedals, they’re gone!
