@c1olin: I think most see increasing wheel size as a lazy solution for a lagging industry.
Yes, it could/might be fast for some in the right application, but it’s hardly innovation by just increasing the wheel size. It’s just laziness. Populations suffer from exhaustion - just like in politics. A lot of people are just tired of it.
Everyone is here for true innovation, it’s just getting harder to see as bikes become so refined.

Pinkbike Poll: Which 2026 Tech Trends Do You Think Are Gimmicks?
Finally, a wheel size that allows tall riders an opportunity to succeed! Years ago there were these two riders called Steve and Greg (i think). They could have had wonderful and successful careers and perhaps even be considered greats but they never had a chance on 26 wheels. I wonder what happened to them?
