Opinion: Does Downhill Have Nowhere Else to Go?
Assuming they know whats under the snow. A lot of the danger in skiing is that you are riding blind a lot of the time and have to trust whats underneath and around you is 'safe'. Do you mean big mountain skiing is not demanding physically or on the equipment?

Yeti's Trainer Makes the Case for Strength Training - Video
This is merely a point of discussion - I was wondering if the matter of performance-enhancing drugs in professional mountain biking has ever been discussed properly? I know the mountain biking scene is supposedly a more relaxed, freer movement than its road racing cousin...but let's face it, it's not. It's fairly obvious in road racing and track where athletes seem to be on the fringes of what is legal and what is not. Now it's been reported 1 million people in the UK alone are using steroids and other IPEDs. In today's world where riding is not solely about having fun, what sacrifice are people making to be the best rider they can be? Are steroids and IPEDs prevalent in MTBing?

January 2018 - Good Month or Bad Month?
@skerby: It may be fashionable but the quality is so poor, I can't believe people still buy it. On my bike I've replaced the Vivid Air, BOTH Guides and the internals of the fork after one year because of persistent problems. Their replacements haven't batted an eyelid.

Now THAT Was a Bike: 1995 GT LTS
My friend and I both had one. He had one with a rubber wheel that operated silently. I had the nylon wheel which gave an annoying whirring noise. Still loved it.

Loic Bruni, Finn Iles and Miranda Miller Weigh in on the New World Cup DH Track in Lošinj, Croatia – Video
Like it or not, UCI are the muscle behind these events. The manufacturers could break away but at a time when some big teams are stepping away from DH for EWS it just wouldn't be a viable option. A DH team is already expensive.

There is now no reason for Red Bull not to show the full race run for the men's top 20 and women's top 5. The first 3/4's of the track look immense. Let's hope.

Ask Pinkbike: A Slippery Wheel, A Used Bike that's Too Good to Be True and the Elusive Alloy DH 29er
I bought a 'used' two-year-old bike that didn't even have the original brake pads bedded in. Best find ever!

YT Industries Releases Autobiographical Video, New Branding & 2018 Range
The mark up on SRAM/Rockshox must be insane. YT are probably getting a good deal from them. Canyon gave me a free Guide because I had (inevitably) problems with the one that came on the bike. I bought a Solo air for the boxxer for £120. Have you seen a Solo Air? it's got to be £5 worth of parts. In short, as YT grow, their demand will increase and the prices will subsequently drop. SRAM & RS is cheaply made stuff.
