Patent Round Up: Gates Mid-Drive Motor, Specialized eMTB With Modular Battery, And A Big Shimano Brake
@mikekazimer: 16mm and 18mm was correct. This has been the size since 820 came out. BR-M8020 XT had those pistons as well. But since M8120 XT and M9120 XTR up to now the pistons went to 15mm and 17mm. Saint ones have been and still are 16mm and 18mm.

First Ride: SRAM Wireless 7-Speed XX DH Transmission
Also, if DH bikes have gone to 148 why do we still need 83mm bb’s and 56.5mm chainlines?

SRAM Patent Confirms Boxxer Stanchion Dots Are For Lubrication Purposes
I wish they would figure out how to stop the Zeb uppers from creaking. So fed up with this crap! They have butter cups (which don’t even do anything), now these dimples… can you please just focus on making a pressfit interface that stays creak-free for longer than a month!!

Pinkbike Poll: Do You Even Ride Park?
There could’ve been one more question in the poll: what specific terrain are you after in the bike park? I go to bike parks for the flow and jump lines. Lapping DM to A-Line over and over is good for progression and getting locked in. Obviously need to mix it up here and there with some Garbo tech to keep from getting bored. Then step it up a bit with D1 and Crabs. But my local pedal/ebike trails have far more gnarly and exciting tech than any bike park. It’s the abundance of perfectly machine-built flow that’s lacking and motivates me to go to bike parks.
