OneUp Announces New Hubs
@jubs17: Thats not "bracing" its a spacer And the difference in length of that spacer vs the counterbores in the hub sets preload, it works, but c2, cn, and c3 bearings have different clearances, and different bearings have diffetent clearances, and getting that difference in length at 0 or ever slightly positive even just 0.001" longer spacer results in play. It doesnt happen much with i9 or ever with dt swiss but something like a race face, then if you want to fix it you have to find bearing and axle shims, for example an 0.004" bearing shim, and an 0.003 axle shim. And conversely too much preload creates drag. Last a siezed bearing usually spins on the axle rather than the hub due to the smaller surface area and that can easily wear the preload surface resulting in more preload. Or just use a hadley, chris king, onyx classic, or p321 all notably low drag hubs with preload adjusters.

Jessie-May's Randoms Part 1 - Eurobike 2024
@casey-as: the link the shock connects to...... is the pivot above the seat stay pivot. The seat stay pushing the link.... rotates it forward. Simple.

Jessie-May's Randoms Part 1 - Eurobike 2024
@jgottya1: thats mostly abandoned now except for the xcw line. When everyone else.... is using linkages even on road racers it should be a clue. Factory wp is barely on level with standard kyb aside from the pds stuff.

Amazingly the pedal bikes have nice welds! I always rip on em for having british teeth type welds... or slow timmy welding. Looks like they moved him to the e bike department....

First Ride: Magura Relaunch the Gustav Pro Brakes
just want to point out the 4 pad isnt just to allow four same sized pistons, its for the material bridge across the caliper, which adds stiffness, with this bridge and a one piece per side pad, you have to take the caliper off to change the pads.
