Nice one, I've managed to take my '98 corolla to 201 125 miles... So you still have some time in yours

Sweet. But why go with the smaller 1000cc engine instead of the 1275? I know it's a ``low compression`` engine (wich means lazy and un-powerfull) but could you simply lower the head a couple mills and get some interesting power out of it?

What engine/transmission will you put in it? An original 800cc, 1000cc or 1275cc? Or go with an all-out 1600cc Civic engine swap?

What's the specs of this engine? I own an American Corolla, and this looks very much like my 1.8L 1ZZ-FE.

Obvously going back to 1955. But you've got to hit 88 mph first, whatever the king of time-travel transportation you are using, this or the DeLorean
