Industry Insider: The US Government Shutdown is Impacting Trail Building and Maintenance
I call BS on this article and headline, it is just sloppy. Trail building projects (especially Federal ones) have such a loooooong timeline I cannot see how 30 days can have such huge impact, especially during the winter. Second, you're interviewing a private contractor. I wish you had directly spoken with recreational officers for national forest districts. Is the shutdown impacting planning: possibly yes. But that is not what your headline says. I feel like someone knew a bro and threw together a article based on a headline you already had. Do better.

Review: Thule RoundTrip Traveler Bike Bag
@tobyb: Correct. Last time I flew, Delta domestically in the US the fee was $150 per bike each way, and it has to be under 75 pounds or they hit you with an additional fee. That's why the advice of "throwing more stuff in your bike bag" really depends on the airline. Using any of these bags with a non-weight-weenie bike is going to get you over 50 pounds pretty fast.

Review: Thule RoundTrip Traveler Bike Bag
@mnorris122: I see your point, but then you've got the hassle of all the work to find, reinforce and pack whatever new bike box you manage to find.
