trek fuel ex8

$1000 USD
selling my beloved mountain bike due to lack of time to ride and a change in priorities. 2012? trek fuel ex 8 purchased new and ridden by myself only. bike has treated me extremely well over the years handling trails all over the east coast as well as a few days on the lift at some bike parks. I purchased it at shirks bike shop and have always taken it there for service including this past winter for a full tune up, including a rebuild of the fork and rear shock. just took it for a final ride tonight and it rides better than i can do it justice. some parts are stock, some have been upgraded, i dont have every tid bit of info on parts but here's the basics, medium frame (trek says virtual 17.5", actual 16.5") dont know what that means but I'm 5'4" and have as short of a stem as i could get and run my saddle slightly forward of the mid point. with that it mind it fits well, though i had previously ridden a small. fox float rl fork, 1 ride since rebuild. fox rpl2? shock just serviced as well new sun single track rims laced to hope hubs raceface diablo dh bars troylee/odi grips diety composite pedals. shimano slx drivetrain kenda nevegal tires has some nicks and scuffs but not one dent or anything structural. asking $1000 obo, its a great well maintained mountain bike with quality parts at an entry level full suspension cost. Thanks Frank

Video: Flying 29ers in a Land of Dinosaurs
Awesome riding, amazing trail, righteous song. But... I couldn't care less what wheels are under him. Put a highly skilled rider on a sick trail and he'll make a huffy look like it could have a chance at a world cup. Marketing is marketing and bike manufacturers need marketing to make money but as a vertically challenged rider and someone who has been there tried that, it pains my heart to see more and more 26s getting dropped or fewer models offered.
