RiDE Creatives Shows Off Unique Gearbox DH Bike Concept
How do you think the shock being 'high' has anything to do with it being a high pivot? That's not a way you can judge a bike's kinematic but you could make points about aesthetics and CoG

The Inside Scoop on Norco's Prototype Downhill Bike
You are quite wrong on a few points there. All F1 teams upgrade their cars in season; largely aerodynamically but they also can change the mechanical parts/platform if they wish. The cost cap sees to the latter being more difficult though. They could do a new chassis if they wanted but it would take too much cash away from aero development which is going to give bigger gains. Mercedes changed suspension geometry on the front of their car during this season though, for example. They all use their wind tunnels all year (well, not during the 2 week summer break) but there’s a sliding scale depending on championship position to determine how many runs they can do. There are hundreds of engineers working back at each of the teams’ factories who also work with CFD but that’s also limited by championship position.

Kavenz Announces Pre-Order Availability For Gearbox Frame
@road-n-dirt: It’s not riding style, it’s the trail, there’s plenty I ride you’d have lost control and have no chance of getting up the up if you stop braking on the down (for example there could be a really tight turn through rocks just before the bottom (and still a massive drop off the side)).

@justinfoil: Have you got double jointed thumbs? Maybe that's what makes the difference as I really don't find it a problem (and do have double jointed thumbs).

@dragossss: Great, I’m happy for you. Doesn’t work for me. @road-n-dirt: People who ride really technical terrain without trail memory. You can be going down a dip and see just ahead there’s a short sharp climb. I can change gear and brake precisely in that situation and I like it. There are plenty of trails in the Alps where this is the case and a fair few have a drop off one side that would kill you. @justinfoil: Why are you gripping so hard with your thumb? Try gripping the bars less, you’ll be much less fatigued.

@styq64: While Pinion are working on getting Smart Shift for real bikes, it's ebike only at the minute unless you've heard different? As I've already said, Instinctive will only sell you a shifter if you buy a frame. Not much use

I cannot imagine it does include a Pinion given Kavenz's regular frames are only a few hundred € less. The Effigear Mimic is a different box to that found on the problematic Starling but who knows if it's any more reliable!

Kavenz Announces Pre-Order Availability For Gearbox Frame
When I got my first Pinion bike in 2018 I told them the gripshit sucked as you can't brake and change gear at the same time but was told this wasn't a problem when they ride. Great, you ride boring shit but your customers don't so perhaps listen to them? They also said because Cinq were doing their system they saw no reason to do anything...
