It depends of the trail. On the UTBM race trail, the record is hold by a trailer since the downhill parts are technical with a lot of stones. Uphill is even more in favor of the trailers with less weight to move up, fewer friction losses and better agility.
On the other hands, rise this challenge in the Vosges in France with round hills and the result will be completely different.
That being said, always cool to see some top athletes compet side by side.

5DEV Introduces US-Made Jumpline Flat Pedal
Another expensive pedals with probably shortlife bushings, no titanium axle or value added feature compared to numerous competitors.
Good to have some choice on the market but I don't think they worth an article published on Pinkbike.
On my side I made my choice : Newman pedals, incredible value for the price. My only regret, they are not forged but this is usually the case for the "small" companies.
