In these advertising articles, i assume that most people take it for granted that not all pictures are taken on the best location for actual riding. It is just some piece of trail which looks good for, well, the 10 meters included in the picture, with some stunning scenery in the background. And that’s OK, it’s advertising. These people have to earn their salaries too. And when used in a product catalouge or as a poster in a store, who cares. The only problem is that I have met bikers in the area that are looking for this particular spot, and I have to tell them that there is no point in going there. At least not with your bike. So if you plan to go to western Norway on a bike trip, don’t be disappointed, because there is no point in bringing your bike to many of the places seen in these photos. But there are good trails to be found in the area, and the scenery is just as spectacular as the photos show.
