First Look: Santa Cruz's First eMTB, the 2020 Heckler

Was waiting for this bike, but am unfortunately fairly disappointed. This would have been awesome 1-2 years ago, but now seems out of date. No 700 watt battery. Cheapest price >$7000. Love Santa Cruz bikes, but I couldn't justify this over a Levo or Decoy. I'm sure it rides well, but you need that 700 Watt battery to hit 4K vert on trail-shuttle mode, which is the entire point of owning one of these bikes.

This whole situation just pisses me off. Martin, you did not make a mistake, and neither did your doctor. You were prescribed proper medication for a serious infection (sounds like staph). Penicillins are often combined with probenecid, as probenecid inhibits renal excretion of the penicillin, thereby increasing the concentration of the antibiotic in your blood. Guess the UCI would rather have racers without legs.

So let me get this straight: Maes was prescribed Probenicd, which helps to increase serum concentrations of Pencillins, in order to treat an infected leg wound, and now the UCI is suspending him for doping? We have reached next level absurd. The UCI is certainly making Enduro great again.

Hi Dr. Turner, Thank you for taking the time to answer some mtb related questions! I'm a medical student about to start clerkships, and am considering going into surgery. One thing holding me up is the fear of getting hurt, and not being able to meet my clinical obligations. I've had a few attending's tell me I would need to quit DH/motocross if I go into surgery for that reason. How has being a surgeon affected your ability to ride and race? Second, what is your take on the efficacy of neck braces on preventing SCI? I get asked that question a lot and cannot ever provide a good answer, as I still have not seen any convincing data.
