@albenstein: I ordered from the early announcement and they have been good with communications. Mine is the backplate version. I have received my armor, albeit they did take longer to deliver as they were having production issues but they did deliver on the product and I'm very happy with it.

I have one of these and it has been great so far. I actuality wear it more often then I used to in the past with my previous armor. And I haven't had to wash it every time which is great.

Bienvenido Aguado Joins Rockintor as Brand Ambassador
I got mine a few weeks ago and been out on a few rides with it. Haven't tested it in a crash yet but I can confirm that is a very comfy armour. I barely feel that it's there. Wearing a hip bag is still comfortable and not intrusive. And it certainly is a lot more breathable then my old armour. Quality seems very nice, they use ykk zippers and all the stitching is nice. I have been wearing it with the base layer so I can't comment on is it's comfort if you were to wear it directly on your skin.
