Dobermann / Altruiste Le Pink
$1400 USDHey folks,
It's with great sadness that I have to part with my slope bike. I'm selling because I'm getting out of biking.
Details:
This bike started life as a 2009ish Dobermann Le Pink. I contacted Gabriel (original designer/fabricator for Dobermann, now of Altruiste Bikes) and had him weld me up a new front triangle for it that brought it up to date. those changes were:
- 44mm headtube so it fits a tapered fork
- 68ยบ headtube angle
- burly True Temper Supertherm tubing
Needless to say, this bike rips the dirt jumps and light shuttle runs at the park. Build details:
- Fork: Rockshox Pike DJ
- Wheels: Hope Pro 4 laced to Stans Flow Mk3 w/ 13t cog
- Tires: Schwalbe Tabletops 2.3
- Brake: Magura MT6 (rear)
- Cranks: Profile 170mm raw w/ 25t chainring
- Stem: Chromag Ranger
- Bars: Chromag FU40

Review: Spank's Foam-Filled Spike 350 Vibrocore Wheelset
@m47h13u: I've had the complete opposite experience with a set of regular Oozy 350s.
I'm a rim smasher and built these up for myself. They've remained nearly true and dent free despite regular abuse on front range trails near Denver as well as a few Moab trips.
I built these up to replace some carbon rims I obliterated.
Maybe your buddy's got a case of JRA. tacoing while turning seems implausible. Tacoing because his front wheel lost traction and turned perpendicular to the bike would occur with nearly any rim.

Point: Suspension Lockout Levers Have Made Bikes Worse
it also comes down to the fact that off-the-shelf and even factory tunes on suspension are pretty terrible. Get your shock custom tuned for your weight, bike, and riding style and I bet you'll touch that lockout a _lot_ less.

too bad it's not compatible with the original Charger damper -- it would be a good upgrade for it. And there's no reason to shell out for both a Charger 2 (or 2.1) + Push HC97. At that price, just get an Avalanche open bath cart.
