The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly: The Knee Pads That Pinkbike Editors Wear
@Pelmenium: 100% on the POC DH knee pads. I also got a pair 8-10 years ago and they just won’t die. Hard shell still good, fabric is near perfect, and the Velcro is like new. Expensive, but last forever. I got another pair of the non-hardshell air version I wear under my riding pants, and they’re just as awesome.

The UCI Reveals Plans for the New Continental Mountain Bike Race Series
@nots1: as an American living and riding DH in Hong Kong, I can say the scene is lively here. There are several local riders who are really fast and who would benefit from more UCI races closer by. Additionally, there a lot of fast riders who’ve learned to ride in the mountains of HK (and all of Asia). Toby and Rory Meek both grew up here and eventually relocated to NZ to get the next level of experience they needed to go pro. I agree the market isn’t as big as other continents, but growing the market in places that have fewer races will happen in the near future.
