HIT Releases Connect 2.0 Head Impact Monitoring Device
I'm still waiting for a company to integrate this system into helmets. My son raced competitive alpine skiing and had a crash detection equipped helmet (Atomic Ski) that could provide location and crash data. Emergency contact could also be notified in the event of a crash allowing for a faster response time by medical personnel and the crash data could be used by hospital staff to better understand possible injuries. Long term effects of mTBI/TBI can be deliberating and a faster response and proper treatment can be absolutely life saving. Cost prohibitive? Maybe, but nothing compared to loss of employability, loss quality of life, and/or loss of future potential.

They've been working hard on releasing the Kurgan. In 2022 they released the Claymore, 2023 the Highlander II, 2024 the Claymore MX option and a MX retrofit kit for both bikes (my timeline might be off a bit), and now the Kurgan and full builds for their analog bikes are available for pre-order. I think most brands lifecycle their designs every 3-5 years, so they've been busy. They've also had a couple of prototype projects floating around - Lowlander and Project Broadsword.

originally posted this as an XL but we've since complete a front triangle frame swap for a brand new. It is a custom SRAM/Rockshox build. Fork and shock are Ultimate (2024). Fork rebuilt by Rockshox at day 5 and shock installed same day. Wheels are new (e13/DT Swiss EX511), new drivetrain (GX), new brakes (Code R) and cranks. Bottom bracket is a SRAM ceramic.
Ride wrapped since day on and maintained after every day of riding.
