Aug 20, 2016Specialized Demo 8 II
$1500 USDSmall, Specialized Demo 8 II
Time for someone else so to enjoy this sled! It has been good to me over the years, but I simply do not ride it enough any more so looking to send it off to a good home where it will spend more time in the dirt vs hanging in my garage.
The details:
2011 Demo 8 II, size small (I'm 5' 8 and it has always felt good to me and specialized frames ran large this year as they also have an xs frame)
Boxxer World Cup Fork
Fox DHX RC4 rear shock
Avid code brakes with XO levers
Truvative descendent ranks w/ GXP bottom bracket
Thompson seat post
Specialized saddle
Fun direct mount stem
specialized bars
easton lock grips
X9 clutch rear deralieur
front hub specialized branded with DT swiss rim and spokes
rear hob hope pro II laced to stand Flow EX DT comp spokes brass nipples
Maxis minions F & R
It has the usual wear and tear from crashing and shuttling, but has no dents. The top tube and down tube have had 3M protective film since I have owned the bike.

Mar 11, 2013Specialized sx frame
$950 USD2009 Specialized sx, size small.
2009 Specialized sx frame, not to be confused with the sx trail. This is the short travel version (4in) made for jumping and slalom racing. I used this frame as my dirt jumper for a season and then switched to a hard tail, and it has been hanging in my garage for at least two years. The frame also comes with deity cranks, chain ring and an E13 chain guide. Headset is included, and there is also an adapter to run a standard headset. I 3m taped the frame before I starting riding it, I took it off with the exception of the downtube. Frame has its scuffs, and cable rub from crashing and being ridden. If you have any questions or want more pics, send me a message.

That's what you call bike Karma.... Changing jumps and such that people spent a lot of time building just so you can film yourself attempting a flip = not cool. The builders built them as they were because thats how they wanted them to be. Go build your own jumps to film on.

Retallack Summer Vacation
Nice write up Steve that was such an awesome trip. I can't wait to hang out with my little fury buddies in Nashville again! On second thought, I think I will come a little more prepared next time and bring a tent. Or maybe I'll pick up a a cat once I cross the border so others can enjoy the fine accommodations that Nashville has to offer. All joking aside big thanks to Riley, Chris and the rest of the Retallack crew for feeding us, and letting us dig and shred on their trails. Can't wait till next summer to do it again.
