How To Get a Banger Shot with JB Liautard - Video
@robwhynot: Completely agree. I've done loads of photography, both film and digital, and I have found that when I experiment in the dark room people are a lot more open to my artistic interpretation, and manipulation, but when I experiment with digital post-processing, I get told that I'm "cheating", and my photos are "fake". Never understood why people think certain tools are artistic and others are cheating...

@woodtigerfish: I agree, shooting RAW will always be a bit more work, but the images you get in the end will always be better than if you shot them in JPEG. I never understood how people could justify spending loads of money on fancy camera bodies, just to shoot in JPEG, loosing all that information they paid so much for.

@garrettstories: Not saying that editing gives you more DR, just saying that there is more info in the raw file than just what you can see. Often areas that look blown out when you shoot them will still have plenty of info in them to recover detail in post.

Check out this series: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7ECB90D96DF59DE5 Pretty rad examples of how its all about the photographer, and not the camera.

@garrettstories: Don't really agree with ya there. On the technical side, RAW files have a lot more information in them then what you see. Even if the photo is as perfectly exposed as possible, you can still get extra stops of dynamic range in post processing. Then there is the artistic side of photography. I really don't agree with the idea that photography is all about capturing things in camera, and representing things as you saw them in person. I think of post processing as an artistic tool, and I think its really unfortunate when people bash photographers for using it. To me, photography was always about capturing more than just a photo. Its about capturing a feeling, and telling a story. So while I agree that a good photographer should be technically skilled, I also think they need to be good artist, and story tellers, and why shouldn't they be aloud use the tools available to them?

Windham is honestly not worth the trip or the money for a lift ticket.

@mastersonrj: I heard that the reason Windham's jump trail sucks so much is because GL didn't actually build the trail, they just designed it and then subcontracted another trail building company to do the work. Something about Windham getting a cheaper package than the other mountains with true GL trails.
