First Ride: Trek's 2020 Top Fuel Gets a Little More Travel & a Lot More Aggressive
"As a high-end XC bike, there are no ISCG mounts on the frame either" - that's completely counter to the prior argument that this is a bike for fun. Ruining a chain or chainring on a rock is NOT fun. How many grams are fucking saved without the ISCG mounts? Stupid decision to skip it here.

@jclnv: Is the hole big enough to get a brake caliper through? No? Then GT's is still miles better. 4 clamps vs brake bleed? That choice is easy! (it's the 4 clamps, of course)

Aaron Gwin Comments on Injured Ankle, Broken Cranks, & More
@skidmarkbro: I meant saying vital was wrong for posting it. They didn't make any commentary about the product breaking, just posted a vid. Maybe some in the comments, but Gwin should know better than respond to comments like that.

Or they could just skip the (useless to actual riders) marketing wank of internal routing and do like Canyon and GT: external routing in a covered channel. Can setup your brakes however you like, don't have to disconnect any brake lines to remove a brake, and still get the internal look.

@angryasian: "*feels* like it climbs better" is usually really "feels stiffer/firmer". Is that the case, or is it that it actually feels like more traction and/or feels like you can put more power down before slippage?

Not to mention that on the XS, the seat at full drop is going to be level or below the wheel! What's the use of getting the seat out of the way if the tire is going to instantly buzz your ass as soon as you get back at all.

The reach goes from 30mm shorter to 50mm longer than the chainstays. 80mm, 3 inches! Combined with the less-steep actual seatube angle creating a steep effective seattube angle for riders on the bottom of a size and a slack effective seattube angle for riders at the top of a size, the bike is going to ride quite different for that 4'10" rider vs that 6'7" rider. The tall rider is going to be wheely-ing up climbs and the short rider isn't going to have to work way harder just to get the front wheel off the ground. Lots of bikes share rear-triangles between sizes, but when you specifically call out a quite large range of rider heights supported, the change in ride feel created by different chainstay to reach (and/or front-center) lengths _has to be_ discussed.

Aaron Gwin Comments on Injured Ankle, Broken Cranks, & More
Why should we assume it's open and honest? There are way too many words for that. Should've just said "prototype" and been done. All the bullshit in those paragraphs is really just covering up Gwin being a dick on IG about the video getting posted and talking out his ass about how that bike was built-up.

Sick Bicycles' Manufacturer Selling Off Frames Claiming Lack of Payment
They keep talking about refunding customers, but this shouldn't be a customer facing issue at all. What's this "alternative frame" crap? Did customers specifically order a frame from Marino? Doubtful. There is no curve ball. You didn't pay for what you ordered, so now someone else gets it. Sick should feel fortunate that Marino is just willing to sell the frames themselves, instead of suing for payment and\or damages (they couldn't make frames for paying customers while busy making sick's unpaid-for frames)
