E-Bike Specs Decoded: What Peak Power, Torque, and Assistance Ratios Really Mean
@minimusprime: you could have said it's like the gears we already have: HT-LP likes being in the small cogs, HP-LT likes being in the big cogs

First Look: The Boyd Sixtus Hub Has 612 POE With Single-Pawl Engagement
@ballsackington: No one implied that anyone else was thinking "points of engagementS", just that it was incorrect.
It is NOT a common way of writing abbreviations, mostly because it's an acronym (or initialism, since most people pronounce it 'pee-oh-ee', not 'poe' like the poet), not an abbreviation; partly because there aren't really all that many acronyms with internal plurals; and most importantly because, in fact, it's widely considered to be incorrect. A cursory search lead me to zero instances of it being considered correct, or even OK.
At least the author didn't capitalize the S (POES, a whole new acronym) or use an apostrophe (POE's, they own something?)...

E-Bike Specs Decoded: What Peak Power, Torque, and Assistance Ratios Really Mean
"While 100 watts may sound like soft-pedalling to a keen cyclist, even the most aggressive assistance ratios require the rider to pedal with meaningful force to get the full motor power."
Except you didn't do the low end comparison. Only need to put in like 25W to get 200W out. That is _definitely_ soft-pedaling and yet the output already approaches your own assumption for average ride power.
Between insane assistance ratios, stupid peak power, and idiotic over-runs, e-bikes already lost the plot, jumped the shark, went off the rails.

"POEs"
POE, like RPM, doesn't need to be pluralized, it's already plural.
