December is a very special time to ride. Every once in a while you get a day like this where the dirt is frozen but is still forgiving when you really push through corners. The surrounding shaded areas still have snow that ever so often catches the light and shimmers like a crystal ornament hanging in your window on a sunny day. It is one of my favorite times to ride all year.
On this particular day we ventured to an area on Cypress Mountain in North Vancouver that doesn't see a whole lot of traffic. We wanted to put some shots together and show how I like to spend my off season and the style of trails I typically ride when race season is over and winter starts to settles in........these are those trails.
I want to thank Noah Wilcox for the time spent shooting and editing and North Shore Bike Shop for all their support during last season. I have some big plans for the 2014 season and I wouldn't be able to do them without it.
Also thanks to Transition Bikes and Marzocchi Canada for the amazing bikes and suspension. My Transition Covert Carbon is truly a "do everything" bike that I was hesitant to believe could be true.
