Troy Lee D3 Carbon MIPS

$300 CAD
Troy Lee D3 Carbon MIPS helmet, size large, in raw black carbon, and comes with it’s padded helmet bag and a spare visor. Excellent condition, never crashed in, used less than 10 times as not having a downhill bike I rarely ride park, and nobody shuttles anyways these days so enduro rides demand half-shell ventilation when you get out. The D3 is one of the best looking helmets ever made, the raw black carbon colour will give you lots of stealthy swag on the trail, running a full face with MIPS will keep you nice and safe and for all of that, given that a new D4 is $700, this helmet in almost new condition at $300 is almost like getting all those benefits for free. An absolute steal, serious inquiries only and not interested in shipping.

North Shore Racks NSR 2-Bike Rack, 1-1/4” hitch

$400 CAD
The brand speaks for itself and the 2-bike version of the NSR rack is by far the easiest and most convenient to load / unload. Tray-style racks just aren’t secure enough for me (I know, I had a carbon framed enduro bike fall off a Saris rack on the highway a few years back) so for a 2-bike, 1-1/4” receiver rack this is truly the ticket. I’m going to be upgrading vehicles and switching to a 4 bike rack so as such I’m selling this one. If you want to save $200 + the waiting time on a new rack today is your lucky day as this one is in great condition and is a steal at $450. Pictures up shortly.

Giant Reign 0 Carbon Size Small

$2250 CAD
2015 Giant Reign 0 Team in a size small frame. Ever had a bike that is just so easy, balanced and playful to ride it still brings a smile to your face years later? This is that bike for me, and truthfully it’s been really hard to find a bike that can reproduce those feelings. To be fair though, I’ve customized or upgraded most everything one might want to on such a bike so that might not be fair to the stock builds out there (as you’ll see below). For you, you get an upgraded, top of the line (as of a few years ago) carbon enduro bike that is an absolute joy to ride. In terms of those upgrades - I’ve upgraded the bars, stem, grips, seat, both dropper post and its remote lever, pedals, tires (also set up tubeless), brake rotors and Sram matchmaker brake lever / shifter / dropper remote intergration. Suspension has also been tuned to be more progressive than the stock Giant tune which, especially for the rear suspension, comes very linear - so for me that produced a more confidence inspiring ride. And nothing to do with performance, but every part that could be is black or blue, so it all makes for a very clean and well-matched look. Parts spec: Rockshox Pike RCT3 with 2-step travel adjust (160mm-130mm - why the heck did they stop this? Makes the bike geometry and your body position much more comfortable for the climbing). Set up with 2 tokens to increase progressively of the front suspension Rockshox Monarch Plus DebonAir RC3 rear shock. Set up with 2 bands on the air bladder to increase the progressiveness of the rear suspension. Avid XO Trail Brake Levers (with SRAM Matchmaker clamp on both sides to tidy up the cockpit) and Calipers w/ upgraded 200mm rotors front and rear. Bled recently. SRAM XX1 Derailleur and shifter w/ matchmaker integration. Rockshox Reverb 150mm dropper post and upgraded Rockshox 1X remote lever w/ matchmaker integration - both new this year. NSB 30-tooth front chain ring (to make steep climbs more comfortable to pedal up - came with a 34 tooth) SRAM XX1 Cranks Chromag Scarab Pedals Chromag OSX Fubars in uncut 780mm width Race Face Atlas 50mm stem Specialized Body Geometry Gel Seat (makes long days in the saddle SO much more comfortable!) DT Swiss Spline One Rims on DT Swiss Spline One Hubs Maxxis Assegai Front Tire in 2.5” width with DH Casing and 3C Maxxgrip Compound. Set up tubeless. Maxxis Minion DHR II Rear Tire in 2.5” width with Double Down Casing and 3C Maxxgrip Compound. Set up tubeless with Cushcore inserts. Lenzyne Side-Load bottle cage

Round Up: 4 Eco Initiatives from Chris King, Elite, Giro and the UCI
Love this idea! Seriously, as nice as this article is to see, it is a little mind blowing to me that it has taken so long for content like this to come out. A rating / grading system on the environmental sustainability measures that given companies for which Pinkbike reviews the products of would be so helpful for those who are conscious of their purchase decisions and want to extend that further to the bike brands they purchase from. Thank you Pinkbike! Please keep this up, help us make better choices about the products we purchase and help companies see that being accountable to the planet is good business!
