2026 Andorra DH World Cup Elite Q1 Qualifying Results
3.3 seconds between 1st and 20th and 5.9 seconds between 1st and 40th in Elite men. If you only look at position and not time it gives the impression that riders outside the 20 automatic qualifiers aren't fast enough but the times are crazy tight. Surely this has to open the conversation of more riders in finals. It seems pretty harsh that those investing so much time, money and energy into representing the sport miss out by such small margins. It doesn't feel right that the whole sport should be shaped around a TV package, to me anyway.

@grizor: I've had nothing but bother servicing the clutch in my mech, it's never worked properly despite using the recommended grease etc. Thought I must have been doing something wrong but after reading this I've just ordered a new unit from SJS.
