I actually like the course. It's different, but I think it'll provide interesting, tactical racing :)

@TheArbez: Good to know, but I‘m more around 158 lbs (72 kg) and neither very powerful nor what people would call „hard charging“ :D I seriously hope I‘ll just be able to ride these wheels for the next 10 years and be happy with them - that would be mission accomplished for me ^^

Looked it up: They're a claimed 710 g front, 875 g rear Total: 1585 g :)

I think I've found a nice middle ground for my first "high quality" mtb-build (a sour pasta party xc-hardtail): Bontrager Kovee Elite 30 Wheels. They've got a lifetime warranty (I don't have that since I bought the set second hand for 500 € from someone who took them of their new Trek), a reasonable weight and don't even have a rider weight limit. The Bearings are the same size as common DT Swiss (I think 350) Hubs and specced with all 6 pawls they've got 108 poe. I think that's a really nice balance between performance, but most of all durability which leads to few service - which all describes my aim for that build quite well :)

Yeah, I was also unimpressed. Was there, saw him, was too shy to say anything and was sad that that the pants weren‘t even skinny :P

@dirty-sundays: huh, interesting! I didn‘t find the live timing, but I admittedly also gave up quite quicky :D

I like it, cool Marathon-Course :) Just a shame that there is so few data availiable. I actually thought the commentator is doing a good job, but they aren't making it easy for him: Only one camera perspective per race (men/women), almost no timing info and he's all alone.

I think Alan Hatherly, Samuel Gaze and Matthieu van der Poel would disagree with you there

@xciscool: I don’t think you‘re wrong, I just think that this is the point where I‘m not knowlegable anymore, where there lie many years of mistakes on many sides and where the topic is vastly too complex for the pb comments section :)

@xciscool: which is understandable, I also generally like people more before they start mass-murdering citizens than after :)
