Generally speaking, a longer lever is going to have this results: more force over a longer lever throw with a softer lever feel.
If you have small hands and run the lever close to the bar already, beware that a longer lever will travel further so you will have to run them further out or reduce the free stroke so that under pressure, you don't run out of space before they pinch your other fingers.
