Getting older and most probably slower but that doesn't mean I'm finished yet.

DH World Cup Round 3 - Fort William: Highlands, Whisky, Midges and Track Walking
Best way to avoid mossy's and midges that I've found is a teaspoon of cider vinegar before bed and in the morning... I used to get eaten alive whilst the wife looked on chuckling about bloody cider vinegar lol good idea though.

Trek Elite 9.6

$850 GBP
Had this up for sale a little while ago but took it down as I wasn't sure which bike I wanted to keep but I've gone with my Enduro so this one has to go. Same spec as the link below only with the following upgrades: http://www.evanscycles.com/products/trek/elite-carbon-96-2013-mountain-bike-ec042082 Hope/Stans xc3 wheels Evo carbon bars and stem Evo Mag pedals with Ti axles Nice light bike which cost £1500 new and the wheels etc bumped it up a bit, couple of light scratches but nothing close to the laquer and it's been helitaped since day one so the frame is pretty much imaculate. It's a size large which is great for me at 5'11' and am guessing it'll be good for those a bit taller. Local pick up only but could arrange a drive if it's not too far (thinking between Bristol or Exeter) Drop me a line if you have any questions. Cheers, Clarky.

DT Swiss XMM 140 Magnesium Lowers

$250 GBP
DT Swiss XMM140 (140mm travel) Magnesium lower forks - 215mm Steerer - almost brand new! Bought these forks last year to go on a Devinci Hectik 2 and the bike only ever saw canal paths with the wife. I then stripped the Hectik down and was going to put these on a Cove Stiffee but in the end I bought a new Trek 9.6 Elite (carbon hardtail *drool*) so they are now surplus to requirements. As you can see from the pictures the forks are immaculate having never been used for serious off roading. The only two marks are from catching the sticker when putting the front wheel in and the wife's bike being lent against the right leg of the fork. 2 small sticker knocks but other than that these forks are like new. I'm a biggish chap but have always found the forks to be compliant and never ran out of travel however there isn't many tables/drops/downhill courses on a canal. The reviews are good though so please see the links attached for more info on how they perform when proper mountain biking. I've list the basic blurb on the forks below, any question just ask and I'll do my best. Not sure on the postage either so I put a tenner but if it's cheaper I'll refund the difference so the buyer only pays the actual cost... or come and collect and pay cash. http://www.bikerumor.com/2011/09/01/first-look-dt-swiss-xmm-140-twin-shot-15mm-suspension-fork/ http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/components/forks-suspension/product/review-dt-swiss-xmm140-suspension-fork-11-44922 http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=49846 Lightweight cross country/all mountain fork featuring the Torsion Box arch for superior stiffness Auto Balancing Spring System (ABS) air spring that self sets the positive and negative air chambers Twin Shot Mode Select allows for three adjustment options depending on terrain and rider input: open, climb mode and full lockout Single Shot open bath oil damping system with two adjustment options: open and full lockout 1 1/8" with a black anodized aluminum steerer with a forged/CNC aluminum crown. Black anodized 32mm aluminum stanchions Magnesium lower legs with Torsion Box arch and magnesium dropouts 15x100mm thru-axle dropouts, disc brake compatible: 74mm PM (max 210mm rotor size) 140mm Travel Cheers :D Had a couple of questions so a lil more info: Are they twin shot? Yes they do have the 3 switch thing that goes from full travel, climb mode (about 1" travel) and full lock out. Are they still for sale? Well its 00:46 now and I'm very cidered up from skittles (west country thing - but we won!) but no sale as of yet although had a couple of offers so when i get up tomorrow around hang over o clock I log in and sort it out Thx again for all the interest everyone :)
