My personal opinion - don’t flame me. Brandon deserved the win - The amount of tricks at the top of the course and technicality warranted this. If he messed up on one trick the show was over and that needs to be taken into account. Statistically the probability of him messing up was higher due to the trick amount and difficulty of what he threw down. For everyone crying slopestyle - the bottom trick jump is the one where scoring should count the least - not the top of the course. Godzieks run was crazy and i would have been happy if he was awarded 1st but we have all seen big flips before and as impressive as the double flip was it was on the bottom trick jump to which the above applies. Brendon had the best old school run which was amazing and the most fun to watch and while i do think he was underscored his run didn’t stack up to what some of the other athletes threw down in terms of amplitude. Everyone has comments after rampage and always will as each riders lines are different and unique in their own way. Toms front flip was the best trick by far but rampage is the total run these days and not just one crazy trick which is why i think he was scored the way he was. All in all one of the best rampages and awesome to see how everyone has stepped up their game over the years. Cant wait for the next one.
