Bike Check: Jordan Sarrou's World Champs Winning BMC Fourstroke
@Jango997: It is a data acquisition device issued from the race organization- there is still a Tissot timing chip zip tied to the fork on race day but immediately removed by race organization when racers finish. We have tested with the "saddle data bag" a few times like at the Rio Olympics (but not during the race). You will see the same saddle bags on the Pro Tour road races now. It can give live data that you see on the TV screen like Moto GP or F1 for example, especially if the rider has a power meter on their bike and consent is given to use their data. The only real problem of the mtb is that UCI has it in a saddle bag which is not the best for use with many saddle rails and dropper posts especially.

First Ride: 2021 Trek Slash - Now With Snack Storage
@gambo21: Actually no. Trek has a couple of carbon suppliers for frames in Asia (I used to work for Trek) There are no in house production made frames for any model, P1 or otherwise. However, this is the same for most of the big brands these days. Not necessarily a bad thing as long as you have good quality control over your product. All engineering, design and testing in house by Trek at least.

Photo Epic: Running with the Bulls - The Techniques and Fitness Needed to Get the Shot at the XC World Champs
Nice write up Andy. Amazing to watch you media squids work an event. Not only the race itself, but all the time before and after to prep and produce those amazing shots. Good thing the heart rate monitor was not on you for your/Delorme's coffee in the pits piece at Nove Mesto! Haha.

The Best Tech From Vallnord XC World Cups
@edspratt: No worries. Was a fun week there with loads of rain on a very natural course pre Redbull days, so longer course and more climbing/descending.

Cane Creek Announces New Hellbender 70 Bottom Bracket & T47 Hellbender Neo Bottom Bracket
@McKai: Same here, Sram DUBs last longer than the Shimano press fit we used in all the Trek Factory Racing team bikes. Will have to try one of these Cane Creeks though. Love their headsets.

Jolanda Neff Joins Trek Factory Racing
Neither! haha, I quickly grabbed the bike off the van and grabbed the closest front wheel for this photo shoot. It is actually Evie's Worlds bike (Evie raced XR2 front and rear at Worlds btw). Good eye though.
