Pinkbike Poll: Do You Ride a Hardtail Anymore?
@vinay: fully agree, vinay: there is a weird bias going on here for fullsussies; just hope it doesn't get any weirder than that (ebikes are not bikes, but electric motor bikes and it freaks me out they are promoted as cycling products - maybe for feeble men&women or them fellas in cisco city). My full steel rigid 29er is the best ride I have ever had by far, it just gives a realness and involvement in the ride that even adding a front suspension would more like take away rather than contribute to the immersiveness. And you're bang on; it is not the type of ride for always being in the saddle.

Pinkbike Poll: Do You Ride a Hardtail Anymore?
I ride hardtails only. Build them up myself, one is fully rigid steel 29er and the other an aluminum frame and a suspension fork. I even have a 27.5 rear spare wheel to convert any of them into a nimble 79er. Dropper seats are the BIG game changer, not (full) suspension, at least that's my 2c.

CBD is Being Marketed at Mountain Bikers, What Does That Mean?
@WAKIdesigns: That's quite cynical and very untrue. Alcohol is THE WORST to mix with any kind of activity and mixing it with biking is always a bad idea for the one doing it and others in the vicinity. The only use for alcohol, other than as a disinfectant, for human consumption is for a night-cap, one sole shot before sleep to help with muscle relaxation, but if one can do without even that, all the better. Moreover, I think level of inebriation is in question here, I mean a tripped-out rider is just as dangerous as a drunk rider. CBD/THC may well work for most, _in the appropriate quantities for the individual_ but that's not to say "smoked out riding" is safe... just my 2c. natural selection? really? Do you pay taxes, do you pay the bank? do you pay pay and pay again with currency with someone else's name on it? and you still think you're all that huh...

More Than 50 Bikes Stolen From California Bike Shop in 'Organized Crime' Robbery
they beefed up their security system so I think that's a sign that yes, insurance will cover that but going on in the future they're gonna have to upgrade the security system to a level the insurance co. can continue covering them. that's my 2c.

More Than 50 Bikes Stolen From California Bike Shop in 'Organized Crime' Robbery
insurance will cover that, most likely. they beefed up their security systems so that's saying something. on the better news, looks like mountainbiking is getting serial in Viva El Mexico! never mind the jerkoffs that pull this kind of shit for a living but at the very least some South American riders will be able to afford rides they otherwise never would. that's the cold bottom truth. that is, if the cartel don't get those sweet rides to cruise around in their fortress-mansions high-up in the hilly hills of the interior. Can anyone see a Don Eladio dh-ing on a Santa Cruz? now that's gotta be extreme!
