2009 Transition Blindside with 2008 Rockshox Totem fork. Transition wheelset. Fox DHX4.0 rear shock w/ 500x2.8 spring. This has been an excellent bike, but it's just been sitting in my basement for quite a few years with the exception of taking it out for a cruise around the neighborhood a couple times a year (I have an enduro bike so it's just not being used). It's a complete bike but I would consider it more of a frame/shock/fork/wheelset listing as I would replace the old Maxxis tires, grips, handlebars, and look into new brake levers. The saddle and seat post are a take-offs so I would replace them as well. Aside from the current saddle and seat post, I've ridden this bike as you see it (before a bolt broke in one of the ODI grip clamps). Very slight play in the upper shock eyelet bushing, but that is an easy fix. Unless you're doing huge drops and jumps, it's nothing major. I would actually love to hang this bike up for memories and/or wall art, but maybe someone who wants to rip trails and doesn't have a huge budget, could benefit from this bike. Big Hit's are one of the best freeride/DH bikes in my opinion! 2008 is the last year of the good style of big hits...bomb proof! This bike is solid, I am just looking for a more all mountain type that can still handle the rough stuff, jumps, etc., but can do some pedaling up if needed. However, I do love this bike! It has been well taken care of. I oiled and cleaned it regularly. This past winter I took the rear triangle off and cleaned it all real good. The fork seals have never leaked and still don't. Very smooth, I grease the stanchions all the time. Very picky that way. It has the normal wear marks of a DH bike. The small paint chips (known to happen on big hits) were there when I bought the bike (I only ride rocks about one or two weekends a year. Otherwise it's plush soft dirt.) I've jumped on this bike, dropped on this bike, ridden rocks on this bike...and it never disappointed me once. Zero damage to this bike, only some cosmetic yet it still looks sweet! I am open to trades, like a 2008 Transition BottleRocket w/ Fox single crown (6-7" travel min./will consider dual crown) and Fox rear coil. Let me know what you have with pictures please.
