Video: Steep Chutes and Huge Crashes with Cam McCaul
Cam- Consider the message that you're sending out to every kid watching this: That it's OK to ride off trail wherever they want to. "If Cam did it, then it must be OK." Mountain biking has changed the past few years. Tens, maybe even hundreds of thousands more users. The landscape cannot handle the onslaught that tens of thousands more people will wreak on it. Please think about it.

Video: Remy Metailler POV Clips on Untouched Freeride Lines in Utah
Good to see discussion of impacts on desert soils happening. Bummed that we as a community still don't understand that in terms of the big picture.

Video: Bryn Atkinson Rides the 2020 Norco Optic
Super impressive riding. Equally impressive camera work. Narration was fun, too. But man -- the skidding kills me, especially when you've got a role model like Bryn encouraging you to 'leave your mark'. Do we really not, as a group, understand the impacts of skidding? Wider blown out trails, braking bumps, blown berms, etc...? Seems really irresponsible and short-sighted to showcase that sort of thing.

First Look: The 2020 Specialized Kenevo Aims to Replace Your Shuttle Truck
Anyone remember the good old days, when one could go for a bike ride without a shuttle truck or an e-motor? Or a phone, or a twitter account, or strava?

@kcurd: Trail or not, sending a message that skidding is OK isn't cool anymore. Not that it ever was.

Video: 1 Day in Utah with Remy Metailler
@remymetailler: Admittedly I only watched ~40% of the vid, but of that section your rear wheel was locked a good chunk of the time. Perhaps Whistler with it's amazing trail crews and seemingly bottomless budgets to fund them can afford to endlessly fix trenches created by skidders. Most places in the US don't have that budget, nor do impressionable new riders know that. Or care. You're an incredible rider in a position to do good for the future of this sport. Please consider the long term effects of the media you put out there for mass consumption.
