29+ conversion wheels for your 150/197 fatbike.

$997 USD
I've long believed that a fatbike isn't truly complete until it has a second set of wheels. True fatties are mandatory for low-pressure riding on soft substrates, but for most of us that's 1/3 of the year. Maybe less? And the rest of the year we have firmer surfaces and higher speeds. To the end of being faster/more efficient when surfaces are firm, I install 29 x 3" wheels/tires on my fatbike in the non-snow months. I have a few sets of these laced and ready to go right now. Hubs are the venerable DT Swiss 350 in 6-bolt, 150/197, with either XD or HG freehub. Rims are WTB KOM Tough i40. Spokes are DT Swiss Competition, nips are DT Swiss Prolock. *You can choose from silver or black on the spokes*. Tires: In 29 x 3" you can choose from Surly Dirt Wizard, Maxxis DHF, or Bontrager XR4. In 29 x 2.8" you can choose from Maxxis Rekon or Terevail Coronado. Mix and match the tires in whatever way suits your particular needs. Total for wheels, tires, and shipping is $997 USD. Yes, I'm happy to ship to AK, Canada, or EU, but actual shipping costs apply.

29+ wheels for your 150/177 fatbike

$1100 USD
177mm spaced fatbikes aren't super popular these days, but there are still plenty of them out there. Wednesday, Voytek, Fatillac, plus lots of older Beargrease and Farleys. This is a 29+ wheelset meant to fit them. Hubs are Industry Nine 6-bolt in 15 x 150mm f, 12 x 177 r, with XD freehub. Rims are Corvus Passhunter in 29" x 38mm internal width. Great width for 2.8 to 3.0" tires. Spokes are DT Swiss Competition, nips are DT Swiss Prolock. They are taped for tubeless and have valves installed. $1100 includes shipping to a lower 48 address. Want tires? In 29 x 3.0" I have Bontrager XR4 and XR2, Maxxis DHF, and Surly Dirt Wizard. In 29 x 2.8" I have Maxxis Rekon and Teravail Oxbow/Coronado. Add any two tires and the the package total is $1250.

Moonlander wheel.

$750 USD
For V2 -- the 24" version. I've had a handful of new Moonie owners ask for a single rear wheel for their new bikes. Same/stock Surly rims, but laced with a more durable hub and spokes. Seems they've either already cratered the stock rear hub, or are sure that that day is quickly approaching. Not surprising given the low gearing and infinite traction possible with that tire footprint. It'd be hard to beat (or argue with) using the DT Swiss 350 rear hub, and lacing it with DT Swiss butted spokes. And every single person has asked for that exact build. I've finally had a minute to lace two extras. Ready to ship, including rimstrip, tubeless tape and valve. $750/wheel includes shipping to the lower 48. Absolutely happy to ship to AK or Canada via USPS -- but please understand that there will be added shipping costs.

Pinkbike Poll: Would You Buy A 32" Wheel Bike?
It's like PB asked AI to write the most clickbaity title and content it could. And then had a human juice it up even more. Why are y'all so threatened by change?

Bike Check: The 170mm Custom Steel Zoceli Built for Schwalbe’s 32" Tires
@mtbur: You're not wrong, but the bikes have to actually *sell*. And not everyone wants the same thing that you (or I) do. So they innovate to see what sticks. No one is sticking a gun to anyone's head here -- you have every right to keep riding whatever bike you have now, ad nauseam.

Bike Check: The 170mm Custom Steel Zoceli Built for Schwalbe’s 32" Tires
The people who seem to have the biggest problem with 32" also seem to be the ones who have not yet ridden it. Why do people care if someone rides something different than them?

5 Things We Learned From the 2026 XC World Cup in South Korea
@edspratt: Actual mud tires in appropriate sizes would have allowed a talented rider to ride a lot more. Actual mud clearance in their frames and forks would have allowed them to ride a lot more. Racing has become an intensely specialized spectacle. Bravo to Mother Nature for stripping so much of the pomp away and creating opportunities for diverse riders to showcase talents beyond horsepower and a laser focus on what every other race has in spades.
