Presta valves were invented around 1890 and didn't dramatically change....i like that idea since all the other parts on my fancy enduro don't resemble their counterparts from back then that much anymore. I keep them for nostalgic reasons 3

@mrdimi: I'm a big fan of the current Optic but if the new one gets a high pivot that would be a real bummer...just doesn't make any sense for a bike like the optic in my opinion.
