8 Pro Race Bikes from the BC Bike Race 2024
@njcbps: I'll be back. I have to redeem myself on In-n-Out. My son moved to Bellingham, so we've been going up every year to see him.

8 Pro Race Bikes from the BC Bike Race 2024
@keen515: I think it depends a lot on the terrain. I live in Utah. My local trails have rocks shaped like pointy end of axe head embedded in hardpark dirt, so I run pretty high psi to avoid pinging my rims. I was recently in Squamish and the rocks there were much more rounded granite, for the most part. I assume this area is similar.

Henry's Waffle House: Bike Brands Need to Get A Grip
@tmwjr777: Yeah, obviously there's variables with terrain, weight, suspension setup, etc. I'm 185 and run similar setups usually. I tried Tannus insert, didn't really like it, so sticking with enduro or DH casing. I'll add a couple pounds of air if I know a trail is especially spiky.

[Updated] All The Athletes Who Have Qualified For Mountain Biking At The Paris 2024 Olympics
Seems odd to limit this to 74 riders. They could make it a multi-day event with multiple short-track heats with the top ten from each heat advancing to the XCO a few days later.

Video: Actual Weights of Pro Enduro eMTBs with Ed Masters
@Bunabe: Honest question, have you ridden them? Or are you just going off weights? Also, how big are you? I'm e-skeptic, but maybe in a few years.

Henry's Waffle House: Bike Brands Need to Get A Grip
@totaltoads: That's the catch. If you're over 150 lbs, you have to decide to either run a beefy casing to safely run 19-21 psi for more traction or you get a lighter, less sturdy tire and have to run 25+ psi in order to not burp/pinch flat.

Drone Manufacturer DJI Debuts Light & Powerful eMTB Motor - Eurobike 2024
@Tristanssid: I'm curious too. At first I was thinking the DJI motors are mainly used on tiny drones. Then I remembered their work drones for agriculture and surveying. Some of them are really heavy and while propellers don't require as much torque as an ebike, they're working hard and seemingly very reliable. They're also used to engineering with lightweights in mind.

Check Out: A Huge Fender, Soft Grips, a Unique HR Monitor & Affordable Knee Pads
They didn't change anything. I think the issue was a bit overblown. I have to remove my Fox bolt-on to pack my bike, so I just zip-tied on a cheap, standard, flat plastic fender for my trip because I heard about the rack issue. No issues with those. There are racks mounted to a pole on the plaza that you can test fit/practice loading. Worst case scenario you take off fancy fender and zip-tie on the cheap version.

Pinkbike Poll: Are XC Courses Getting Too Gnarly?
@mbray14: I thought the same thing. Looks like you have to check your speed up after the jump to have control into the chute, which is cool, until 20 more people come flying down that jump. It's gonna be a junk show and the riders that can get out front early are going to have a big advantage. Sprint finish isn't really mountain biking.

Replay: Slopestyle - Crankworx Innsbruck 2024
@liveslowdiewhenever: Woah, I see now. I assumed many of the freeride women were doing slopestyle too, but that's clearly not what's been going on at the CrankWorx events.
