mountainFLOW Releases Plant-Based Water Bottle
In terms of safety, our bottles match the other plastic bottles on the market and have all of the same FDA certs. Our bottles are an LDPE plastic which allows them to be recyclable.
The real sustainability benefit is in the feedstock that we are using for the raw materials. By using a sugarcane-derived bio-plastic the carbon footprint is less than a traditional petroleum-based plastic.

MountainFLOW Wants Green Bike Care Products to Go Mainstream
Good point. We realize that the construction of the cardboard bottle is a little unclear. The cardboard exterior is separate from the plastic bladder. The bottle is designed so that cardboard can be easily removed from the plastic and they can both be recycled separately. We have recycling instructions on our website.
