Apr 26, 2026Stans Arch Ex front wheel
$75 USDFront wheel off of my project bike. Stans Arch ex., 27.5,
24.6mm internal width according to sticker on rim. Hub is 15x100 (NOT boost) spacing, 6 bolt brake rotor. 32 spokes. Scuffs/scrapes, no dents I can see. Taped for tubeless but came with tube on bike. Seemed to roll straight. Upgraded to install boost fork and no longer need.
Still building project bike so might be up for a parts trade. Really only need drive train stuff at the moment.

Apr 26, 2026Rockshox Pike RCT3
$75 USD2014 Rockshox Pike RCT3, 130mm, 15x100. Steerer cut at 171mm / 6 13/16" Came on my 27.5 project bike. Still goes up and down. Had serviced 2 weeks ago, but clickers don't seem to do much. Holds pressure fine. Upgraded and don't need. Likely needs some kind of work inside to function to potential, but I did ride it on trail 20ish miles pre service; lockout still worked then, seems to now. No scratches on stanchions and hasn't leaked oil.

May 26, 2025Fox spring 400 x 2.8
$30 USDIt's a spring!
400x2.8 Fox spring taken off Marzocchi bomber because I needed something heavier. Length is about 5 7/16 or 138mm. $30+ I pay shipping if it's reasonable=you save $10 vs. buying new. Probably has like 25 hours on it, if that, no scuffs/dings.

First Look: Marzocchi Bomber Z Is A More Affordable, Longer Travel Fox 38
IDK. I bought a z1 coil for my enduro and pretty much have decided I'll never run another fork on a big bike ever again. Far and away the best fork I've had. No numbness in the hands anymore. Climbs fine. Handles big hits fine. Still poppy somehow. Cost me $300 new on sale. Changing the spring is a 3-minute job with a 32mm socket. Set it up once, twiddled rebound twice, and now I never think about it again.
That's after chasing the dragon with DVO, Suntour, and Rockshox for years. Maybe Fox would be better but for the price, I just don't care.

The Overcomplication of MTB Tires: What Riders Actually Need
@spottba: Southern Oregons so same conditions. As others are saying, it's all down to terrain, which is a better, shorter version of what I said. But a lot of dudes seem to think they need the maximum grip to do moderately fast on dry flow trails, which just doesn't make sense.
I'd rather have a lil less grip and a lot more efficiency most days, too. So much more fun almost everywhere and less work, too.

The Overcomplication of MTB Tires: What Riders Actually Need
I'll speak for myself and like 90% of average dudes when I say we really don't need that much grip, like not Assegai levels. Unless you've got wet roots, etc, then I can see it. Most of us aren't slapping corners hard enough to really need the grip OR charging tech features so crazily. I've gone toward faster rolling tires lately and find I'm having more fun, pedaling less, and carrying more momentum even on enduro stuff.
