Bike Check: Gwin and Troy's Custom Specialized Demos - DH World Championships Vallnord 2015
Earlier in the year for Gwin. This is the first time I've seen Troy on it. Has more to do with creating a more progressive rate than saving weight.

Bike Check: Gwin and Troy's Custom Specialized Demos - DH World Championships Vallnord 2015
Several of SRAMs riders are running Codes this weekend. I'm still running Codes on both my trail and dh bikes and am quite happy with them, but it is a step backward so to speak for these guys who've been on Guides all year. Curious to know why.

Interview: Brian Cookson, UCI President
Guy makes a master politician. This is truly genius carrying on here without saying a DAMNED thing. Having taken the time to read this interview, I now know nothing I did not know before. And I have even less appreciation for the UCI--which is really saying something.

Pit Stop: Enduro World Series Round 5 - Winter Park
Separation of design and engineering processes is common in most industries so I can't really grasp the opposition to Transition contracting the engineering of their frames out. Take home building for example: the architect designs the home. Then the plans go to a structural engineer to calculate out how to make the architect's design buildable and conform with code, zoning, and other rules, regulations, and laws.

Dainese Trail Skins Kneepads - Review
Jrocks knows his shit. Y'all hating on F1 should study up first. The G-forces those cars can pull--laterally AND accelerating AND braking are insanely high. The strains on the drivers' bodies goes through the roof. And they actually have to drive as v, say, turn left. And left. And left. And one more left.... Formula 1 is *the* sharp edge of the pinnacle of sports engineering. Money is no object, winning is the only goal, and if a product or technique gets the team across the finish line first, they will use it. And as for the seats? Suspension on F1 cars is stiffer than a Mack truck certified for over 80,000 gross weight. Preloaded or not, that seat transfers every pebble on the tarmac to the driver's spine like a jackhammer. Anything that reduces strain on the driver gives the driver that much more focus to put on driving ungodly fast in the most divine race cars yet invented by man.
