Old Rampage Site For Sale For Oil and Gas
@mazze: "Clean" is a pretty vague term and really doesn't mean the same thing to each of the energy sources being discussed. Every type of energy, including "clean" renewables, have their impact and its very difficult (i.e. subjective) to equate them and decide when one is better than the other. Of course atomic waste is dangerous, particularly so in the first 50-100 years. Is it more dangerous than greenhouse gas emissions? Or sulfur and Nox particulates that create smog and direct health issues? Or energy poverty? Depends on where you are, what your current position is, and what your needs/values are. There are very few blanket statements to be made about energy on a global stage. There are some smart people with ideas about how to handle the current nuclear waste stock. Are they enough? To early to tell, but its not like we are completely clueless about how to deal with it. The big uncertainty is the sustainability of human institutions to maintain their storage and safety.

@owlie: Nuclear is not the only option, it is one option and can certainly have a place in the energy system. As onerous as the regulations may seem, there are zero private insurance companies that will underwrite a nuclear plant; it is way, way too expensive. That leaves governments to do it and part of that heavy regulation is to make sure their very unlikely but extremely high risks are mitigated.

@swamper1: The French nuclear giant Areva would be bankrupt if it weren't nationalized and supported by tax payers. Their newest tech is extremely expensive (see Hinkley Point C in the UK and Olkiluoto in Finland) and they are caught up in a scandal trying to hide faulty reactor components. There is some new tech coming from the US which looks super promising, but it is still 10+ years out before it could scale. Shutting down existing plants that are safe makes no sense, but new nuclear is relatively expensive and risky due to massive investments and construction times.

**Price Reduced** Hope Mono6 Ti Brake Set w/ over $200 in ex

$300 USD
**Price Reduced Again** **Great Deal, Must Go** This is your chance to get your hands on the biggest, baddest brakes ever made for mountain bikes. They look like they should be on a motorcycle, six titanium pistons pushing massive pads on 203mm rotors. Nothing will stop you faster than these, and they don't even produce them any more so this is one of the few chances to get a set! Not only are the brakes included but a whole lot of goodies to go with them, retail value of over $200 for all the extras. Here is a listing of everything: Hope Mono6 Ti disc brakes with Mini levers, 203mm rotors F and R, and ISO adaptors Two (2) sets of replacement stainless steel hoses with all of the hardware ($80 each) Three (3) sets of replacement brake pads ($16 each) Full package (2 meters) of Jagwire braided metallic silver cable housing with special ferrules (matches stainless brake lines, look awesome together) I've decided to sell these bad boys since I'm not doing massive downhills and I'd like to do a little weight savings. I'm a total brake junkie which is why I bought them in the first place. While it was awesome having these brakes, they belong on a bigger bike. After four years I still have the original pads in and they're only half gone! There are a few nicks and scratches on the calipers and levers from your usual riding, nothing that compromises the brakes. The reason I bought the replacement hoses is because the originals actually rusted (which I thought was odd). I was going to do them this winter but since I've decided to sell, you have the chance to custom fit them to your ride. That may sound like a cop out, but the stock hoses are super long so its actually pretty nice to have the option of a custom fit with brand new lines. I never had to bleed them and they've always been strong. I do have some DOT5 brake fluid I was going to use in the hose replacement I can toss in there too. If you have any questions please email me, I have lots more photos too I can send upon request. I would prefer to do this transaction with Paypal, but would also do a cashiers check. Please add $20 to the cost for shipping as well. Brand new M4's or V2's will cost you $600 so jump on the chance to get yourself even more brake for less cash. Thanks for looking.
