Trek Madone SLR Gen 7 (Med)

$4300 USD
Trek Madone SLR Gen 7 (the best generation IMO), size medium, blacked out. “Used”. Components: Hand crafted Scribe core wheels 50/60 (50mm front dish, 60mm rear dish aero) with scribe hubs, brand new Michelin pro 5 tires (28mm but bigger on rims) set up tubeless, pro logo dimension nack seat (carbon rails), Madone one piece bar (110mm reach, 38cm top of hoods, 40cm bottom of flared drops) with Garmin mount, sram red shifters, hoods, brakes, calipers, sram red front derailleur, sram red chain, sram rival rear derailleur, brand new sram rival power meter crank (48/35) with 165mm crank arms. Rival rear cassette (10-36), SRAM blip sprint shifters installed on bar just under the brakes for shifting in the drops. Trek bottle mounts included and there’s frame protection tape on downtube. Comes with sram battery charger and spare parts. This bike is super fast. I love it and have used it the last few years for koms and race wins. It is faster than the gen 8. I am a bike mechanic and everything is in good shape ready to ride. Brakes just bled, new cranks, tires and sealant. Pedals not included. Selling because I received a great deal on a new bike so time to part ways. I’ll miss it. There’s some signs of normal wear (worn sram logo on brake lever in photo) and a little curb rash on rear near axle (In photo). All cosmetic. This bike will win you group rides and races for years to come. Thanks for looking…..

Warranties - Who's Doing Them Right, & What Could Be Improved?
Hopefully it's honored. I had a crack in my sentinel frame and it was a nightmare. This was a few years ago and they have since switched to different carbon I believe. Maybe things are different. At that time, they looked at it deeming it something that they haven't seen before. After what seemed like months of going back and forth, I was offered a crash replacement instead of a warranty. At that point I was so over it I ended up accepting because I had no choice, even though I didn't crash the bike. Even after I accepted the crash replacement, which was like $1900 for front triangle, there were sketchy details involved. Had to send the damaged front triangle back in which I paid the shipping for. Some other nonsense with the shock. It was just so strange and unnecessary. Killed my image of that that company and their bikes. As nice as they are to ride, I would never buy one again.

Pinkbike Poll: Money-No-Object, Would You Rather Have Electronic or Mechanical Shifting?
Mechanical is awful. Budget aside, can’t understand why anyone would still use it.
