May 18, 2024Norco Torrent 7.2
$750 CADTIRES: WTB Bridger 3.0 27.5+. Plus tires make it ride somewhere between a standard 27.5 and 29er
RIMS: Sun Ringle MuleFut 50sl (rear is a bit out of true)
FORK: Manitou Machete 120mm air with lockout
BRAKES: SRAM XX front & rear. 200mm rotor up front. Back brake needs a bleed to function :( See note at bottom.
DRIVETRAIN: SRAM XX1 derailleur with 11-42t cassette. Save all them grams!
SEATPOST: Rockshox Reverb 100mm dropper. Needs to be re-bled. Brand new bleed kit included with bike. Will try to do it before sale if I have time. If not, idunno, I'll take $20 off the price :)
BARS: Raceface Atlas. Not sure exact length, prob 780mm.
Frame geo here: https://www.norco.com/bike-archives/2016/torrent-72/
Notes:
- There is something rattling around in the chainstay. Not too noticeable unless you're looking for it. It's probably a small rock or something. It has been in there ever since I bought the bike (I'm not the first owner).
- Water bottle cage shown in pics has been swapped with a silver cage.
- Grips shown in pics are also different. Not sure what model but they're black lock-on grips on the thinner side. Can send pics if desired.
- Back brake is currently near non-functional because the lever hits the handlebar before actuating. It needs a bleed. I would do it but unfortunately I don't have an avid bleed kit :( Price reflects the required maintenance.

Nov 5, 2023Scott Voltage FR 10
$600 CADNote: the frame is a size "long" but the reach/stack measurements (404/600) are closer to a size small by today's standards. Still possible to ride for bigger riders (I'm 5' 11") but definitely not optimal.
Geo for 2011 model is here which I think is the same as 2012:
https://geometrygeeks.bike/bike/scott-voltage-fr-2011/
Rear travel is adjustable from 150-170mm by changing the shock mounting position on the frame
Chainstay length is also adjustable. Includes an extra set of dropouts of "short" length. Note: the extra dropouts say they should only be used with 140mm travel which the current shock & mount in the frame is not set up for.
Bike includes two wheelsets: one 26" and one 27.5", but the rear hub on the 27.5" is broken and needs replacing. It's shown in the pics set up with a mullet configuration with a 27.5" in the front and a 26" in the back. Note that this frame and fork are not designed for 27.5" so ride at your own risk. It honestly feels better with 26" config imo.
Specs:
26" Tires: Nevegal 2.35" front (also includes used maxxis minion 2.5" not installed), Ardent 2.4" rear
27.5" tires: Schwalbe Magic Mary front, WTB Vigilante 2.3 rear
26" Wheels: DT Swiss EX 1750 front, Stans Flow ZTR Mk 3 rear (near perfect true, recently installed, ridden only a few times)
27.5" Wheels: Novatec Demon front, Novatec Diablo rear
Bars: FSA Gravity Light
Stem: FSA Gravity Light
Cranks: FSA Gravity Light
Drivetrain: Shimano Deore 1x12 speed with SunRace 11-51 tooth cassette. Installed brand new earlier this year and makes the bike a capable climber :)
Fork: Fox Float 36 180mm air
Shock: Fox DHX 5.0 air
Front/Rear Brake: Magura Marta FR (includes bleed kit)
Pedals: Blackspire "The Brute" silver. Not shown in pics!
Good stuff:
Two wheelsets!
extra 26" tire
New-ish rear 26" rim
New-ish 1x12 11-51t drivetrain!
Magura bleed kit
Extra dropouts to adjust chainstay length
Bad stuff:
Hub is broken on rear 27.5" wheel and needs replacing (26" wheel is fine!)
Bash guard shown in some photos is not included
I might take the water bottle cage and mount off before selling
Forks/shocks haven't been serviced in a long time but they still feel fine to me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Front brake feels pretty weak right now. I think the brake pads got contaminated with brake fluid. Will probably need a new set. They're ~$20. If I don't get a new set before sale I'll take $20 off the price :)
