Finleys trick was unreal, I’d call it a rocket air to borrow a skateboard term. I also liked Isted’s flat 3 off the shark fin up top, so smooth.

Agreed this felt very NWD inspired, what a line. Also that pan down of working on the bridge, and then pan back up to riding it reminded me of Claw in Roam.

Vaea, Cami, Elise and Erice all crashed and chose to play it safe instead of risk it and you really can’t blame them, especially so early in the season. Agreed the broadcast could have done a better job explaining, I believe only Erice was mentioned as she did a seeding run. Congrats to Gracey & Jackson, wild runs!

TVS should get the props for best/biggest trick, which he has, but his run as a whole was scored appropriately imo. Compare his run to Brandon in sections. Start on a very similar section: TVS 3 drop, air small side of drop, air the hip. Brandon truck drop, flip can big side of drop, 1ft table hip. From here they divert, TVS goes big front flip and then big backflip. Brandon goes chute, flat spin, and opp whip to Lilly pad feature. Final section TVS goes air a drop and straight flip, Brandon goes flip whip to opp 3. It’s clearly a matter of opinion but I don’t think TVS flip drops were enough compared to Brandon’s whip drop to override the 2/3 sections TVS clearly should have scored lower. It’s unfortunate for TVS that in the past there’s been winners who have won it all with a banger and not much else, and I can understand the frustration with perceived inconsistency. I think it’s worse for Brendog however, who had the creative line, true to the OG rampage spirit, and has scored highly on this line before, to get 11th. That to me is more egregious than TVS in 4th and it’s not particularly close.

Bizet should have been a little higher but at the end of the day, Sorge deserved to win. Obviously Zink's flip was huge and had he stomped his fronty he would have been in 1st with Kurt back to the top. People here are acting like Sorge's flip wasn't impressive or something and I don't understand it. Builds a lip in the dark the night before and without hitting it once flips is clean.
