This is a bike stall; where the bike stops moving forward but the rider continues, compressing the forks on landing and ping!
This is a classic feature, you can't ride it fast, so it becomes a skill more trials than trails.
At the feature be relaxed, low and elbows flexed and at the stall push the bars forward. Practice, practice and more practice. This is only one method, but the easiest to master.
Bike stalls (or any vehicle stalls) are great skills to master and used to great effect in dirt jumps and trials.

Win a €12,000, All Expenses Paid, Ultimate Adventure with Bikester
I say it's almost entirely the other way. The less you have the more you have to work to make the adventure.
Join a few bridleways together, get out of the comfort zone and camp, take proper food or go posh and sleep in your car. And be amazed at where you end up, what you see and how you feel.
Packaged tours, trail centres and biking websites all have their place and can still be adventures with the rough bits smoothed out.
2017: get a map, get your 'getup and go' and go.

Tenerife: The Shadow of The Volcano - Video
Not so sure what some of the comment riders would like to see.... There's no redbull, downhill, freeride*, dirt jumps* or purpose built trails*. Just lots of paths and tracks which go up and down in a great photogenic environment. An island for enduro riders and trials.
Nice to see riding in the North, Buenavista the only scraped trail with a little bit more added each year. Pity he didn't go further and hit the only bit of accessible freeride with 3m pops, now we're talking.
* So there are some:
freeride two areas, including gaps; dirt jumps, San Antonio (mainly a pump track), mesa moto (usually busted by moto x); purpose built trails x4 and a terrific bmx track in La Laguna.
