29" 140mm Fox Factory 34, 44mm Offset

$400 USD
Ridden for one season, Fox Factory 34, Grip 2 Damper, 140mm travel, 44mm offset. This came stock on a size medium Santa Cruz Tallboy, I bumped the travel up to 140mm from 130mm. Fork has small scratches on one lower leg and some rub from a mud fender that was attached w/ zip ties, otherwise it's in great shape (scratches in pictures). No scratches/damage to the stanchions. There's about 7.5" of steerer tube, it was long on the medium tallboy so it should fit on both medium and large frames. Reach out w/ questions or if you want more pictures. Buyer pays shipping and paypal fees, will ship to US and Canada only.

Pinkbike Poll: Money-No-Object, Would You Rather Have Electronic or Mechanical Shifting?
@Fishride: and the boundary condition(s) for the axle is...the frame.

Pinkbike Poll: Money-No-Object, Would You Rather Have Electronic or Mechanical Shifting?
the forces were going through your frame before UDH/transmission, but that relied on a flexible (comparatively) derailleur hangar. I believe (i'm not the guy who designed it all) the main reason for UDH (and direct mount Transmission) actually traces to e-bikes. because the drive torque is so much greater, and therefore the forces along the chain being greater, derailleur hangers were insufficient in terms of keeping the derailleur in the correct position under high pedaling loads. basically the derailleur was getting somewhat "tweaked" when the watts were really being put down, resulting in excess drivetrain wear and some less than ideal shifting. this problem is most noticeable when the chain is at an extreme angle (i.e. not in line w/ the chainring) like it is on the larger cogs in modern 12 speed cassettes. when you increase the "depth" of the derailleur mount, like we see in direct mount transmission drivetrains, you drastically increase the stiffness locally, which solves a lot of the issues I just described. i've smashed my transmission mech into a bunch of things over the last year or so - no frame or mech issues so far as the break away clutch in the mech seems to work well. the only time you have an issue (I broke a gen 1 AXS mech this way) is if you hit the derailleur on something from the bottom up, in that orientation the system has nowhere to hide. that problem exists on mechanical drivetrains as well though, so oh well. hope this helps!

i'd bet the majority of the people who said mechanical haven't used an electronic drivetrain yet....I was a hater too, it's ok, but honestly transmission is awesome. money no object, it is better.
