Fixies came about as ultralightweight bikes for messengers. Impossiblly light bikes for folks who ride all day and night through city traffic. Without tragic hills. The cats who roll through stoplights and crosswalks are those who are riding in the wrong environment. Cruising/shredding is for trail only. That said; shred with brakes please.

I agree with 'then', but you can see how hard the forks are bottoming, nevermind how many riders are being bucked by rear suspension they (as well as the techs) still didn't fully understand. These are test (madmen) riders on an "I dare you." course which has very nearly come to terms with the riders. The "while doing backflips and 360s" is standard in some "fr" comps, this is supposed to be its own thing. Rampage is Rampage. The line is the line. (And for some reason The Claw didn't win after that massive save in 2010.) That's why the real riders love it and don't care who wins.
