@11six: sure we will see them tested but it'll be a niche application for specific courses. Any normal consumer with only one enduro sled that they use for park laps and all mountain trails is gonna stay on 29/27.5 mullets

@atiboa: if you ride anything other than xc then you don't have to worry about 32 taking over. Remember when enduro and dh went from 26 to 27.5 and then tried out 29 and finally settled on mullet 29/27.5 as the standard? There's not gonna be some revelation that 32 is the next big thing for enduro and dh because those already course corrected.

5 New SPD Trail & DH Pedals Tested: Can Anyone Beat Shimano?
I still have my cheap as shit PD-M520 pedals from my first mountain bike that are almost old enough to vote now. Never serviced once and they haven't let me down. Upgraded to M540s on my other mtb. Never tried anything with more support so can't comment on that, but these all seem superfluous to me when you can get a bombproof set of pedals for $100 or less.
