Pinkbike Poll: How Big Are Your Favourite Flat Pedals?
Burgtec are the one for me. Never measured a pedal, just go off if I like what they feel like or not.
A mate uses those pedal innovations monstrosities for touring, he loves them. I think they feel super odd, even after a prolonged try.
I just think contact points are personal choice. Canāt be a right or wrong here surely.

@Muscovir: yea I feel like the odd one out here for sure. Iāve ridden a mix of flats and spds for 20 odd years across all cycling disciplines (only exception being that I always run flats on my jump bike) I was always told to put the cleat under the ball of the foot. So I would say Iām āmiddle/forwardā in terms of clear position and I tend to ride flat pedals with the axle under the ball of my foot too. Just feels better for pedalling hard.
Iāll be honest, this article made me question of Iāve been doing it all wrong since about 2001.
I might have a go at running cleats further back now, but I reckon it would feel very odd.

Got my dream do everything bike, good gravel bike, and a sweet dirt jumper.
So I think it would be a park/dh bike, lower spec v10 and then a couple grand for a nice alps trip.
Week in the morzine area on the big bike, then Swiss/italian alps for a week on the enduro bike.

Pedal electric moped. I'm absolutely here for stuff like this.
Anything that gets folk out of cars, just from a space point of view is ace. Its no threat to my mountain bike or cycling generally I'm still going to (and always will) go bury myself for fitness and fun on a pedal powered bicycle, this is something totally other to that. Its just a different transport alternative. Cool. Certainly not anything to get super wound up about.
