Im wondering what might fill the void left by the old dual crown Kenevo? A lot of guys loved that build spec and it would be cool to see a version of the Levo Evo sporting a Dual crown.

@snakeplant: My thought on this is that when I ask non mountain bikers, hikers and such, they are not even aware of whether I am on a regular pedal bike, or an e-bike. The only complaints I ever hear are regarding downhill speeds and riding on the mixed use trails which are not in any case directional nor are they related to the type of bike being ridden. The Only detractors of e-bkes in my experience have been MTB guys sort of upset that they get passed on the climbs. Im not talking about Surrons or e-motorcycles, but class 1 bikes. So, the loss of trail access due to e-bikes seems in my experience to be much less of an issue, than ride style and trail etiquette. Realizing that others experience may differ from my own however, I keep an open mind and listen to the various points of view. Most all of us drive cars that can put out far more power and speed than we use on a normal basis, and in this light it seems that the power output of an e-bike furnishes a rider with the tools to as you have noted "break the rules", yet almost all of society requires us to modulate our actions to conform with the circumstances we encounter or suffer the consequences, and yes, as always there will be those who flout the rules or behave stupidly, but once again, this only limits one element of the ride equation, that of riding up hill. If there is any one single issue most complicated by e-bikes, it is that more people in the past were unwilling to put in the sweat equity to make it to the top of a long climb to get the descent. Now of course, the bikes allow access to descents which they would not previously have been on. I get that.

Losers? How many regular MTB riders exceed 20 mph when the trail is flat or down? How many MTB guys are disrespectful and aggressive on the downs? Winning means riding respectfully regardless of the machine, Losing is riding like an aggressive twit even on a regular bike.

Regardless of the bike, and even on an XC bike, everybody tries to go as fast as possible when the trail is flat or down, and we all must be respectful regardless of the type of bike when we are riding on mixed use trails. So the discussion is less about watts and Nm's than respectful riding. I'll agree to limiting E-bike power and speed, when Analog bikers agree to limit their downhill speed to 20 mph, and that is not going to happen.

Since World Cup downhill changed from that Sport beverage, Rob Warner format..... Downhill has gone downhill. Missing the old format and vibe.

@BitsNBobs: Man you're just stating basic living conditions in any Marxist, Socialist, Communist, society. Nothing special about that for the Athletes. In the West, a person had to Want to subject themselves to the Rigor of a high level athletes life, and the only reward would be if they medaled their way into a sponsorship of some sort after their "Amateur" career was finished. Today, we have Multi Million dollar professional athletes competing in the Faux Olympics.... It's just become a Total Joke.
