@Jtstar: I pay for HBO it provides the full world cup series and other stuff I enjoy watching. I am not willing to pay $40 for one race. I am not interested in other bike racing. Call it being cheap I guess, some of us out here have to manage our spending. Unfortunately $40 isn't nothing to me, I wish I could just throw that away. HBO is less than $40 as well and provides so much more content

This sport will never grow. It's too difficult to watch. In the United States you have to pay flobikes $40 to watch it? And it's not going to have a good production. Spend half of the morning using VPN to try and track down a way to watch it it's just such a waste of time.

@edspratt: they normally announce contract length. We don't need all the details but it is extremely relevant who is in a final year of a contract to see how their year is going. It just gives a lot more reason to watch the racing. Too many secrets in the sport it's too difficult to follow because of these things I don't understand it it's normal in every other sport to know at least team standings in the series for instance. There's not updates throughout the year from any media members on even team standings and points. Contract length is not some big secret to be kept I understand we don't need to know how much money they're making but knowing how much longer they have potentially on that team provides a lot of context when watching the races.

@silvanoe: in most sports it's the members of the "media" that normally put that information out. It's not all on the commentators there are quite a few people covering the racing. A pink bike article ever so often with updates would be useful as well.

I'm curious about who is in the final year of their contract. I wish there would be a little bit of coverage on some of the statuses of the riders and teams. With this format, I believe it's going to get a lot more cutthroat. We also never hear anything about team status within the series and who's going to get a for sure slot next year and things like that. Why do these things never get covered in this sport?
