@DylanH93: The NZ guidelines for exercising in Level 4 lockdown. If you (and anyone else who thinks this is the case) can point out the bit that says I can only go outside for an hour or I will get arrested, I'd appreciate it (then I'll stop going to ride my bike everyday as I have been):
Sport, Exercise and Recreation
- You can go for a walk, run or bike ride in your local area. Exercise is good for your mental health.
- If you do, it must be on your own, or with your household bubble.
- You can drive to a place to exercise — for example to a park but you should stay close to where you live. Do not travel too far.
- Keep a 2 metre distance from others.
- Do not do activities that may require search and rescue services. For example, do not go swimming, surfing, boating, hunting or tramping.
- If you are unwell, do NOT go outside.

@conoat: "Zero Covid" is actually "zero unfettered community transmission". The "elimination strategy" is to eliminate unconstrained community transmission and the risk to collapsing our ICU capacity, as you are starting to see build up in several NSW hospitals.

a) no different to how they look now, as there's a good chance they'd have made the same decisions with the same information and advice (just with these moronic differences in public perception of competence - even Simon Bridges acknowledges this, or
b) see NSW for how we'd look if the Nats took a different path

@woody-nz: Bang on there, mate. People in this country would rather believe we had full vaccine access and supply and chose to sit back rather than what you outlined here - our supply was constrained because NZ was not battling Covid to the level other countries were. Can you imagine the international outcry had we secured full supply for the country (by paying more, as some suggest we should) at a time when the likes of the UK, Italy, and not to mention developing nations were getting hammered?
