I do wish they had designed the Rascal with the ability slacken out the HTA by a degree if you're riding steeps. When I took mine to the PNW, I was wishing it was a little more slack for the gnar. Otherwise its great for just about all trails/conditions.

@k2fx: I have a V2 Rascal and I've been looking at the carbon Norco Fluid as a potential future replacement. I think that's almost a closer comparison. Smuggler is basically the same thing too.

If you're a bigger rider that charges (I'm 200lbs before riding gear) a beefed up fork is nice. A Pike is plenty stiff tho too. I try to take weight off my body v. my bike. It's a lot cheaper.
