For the record….. I am still the defending champion from that X-Games Dual Downhill back in 1995 since the only had it that one year.
On a side note…. I got a check from ESPN for 10 grand that day. Purses have gone backwards since the 90’s. We also had Downhill Mania back in the 90’s that was 4 at a time and paid 5 grand to win.

Video: Big Mountain Enduro Round Two Sunrise Resort Course Preview
It was definitely cool to finally get a BME here in Arizona. The Sunrise Ski Resort made for a great venue and the trails raced well.
It was also cool that camping was allowed at the venue parking lot, it just creates a better vibe in the pits when when everyone is close to all the action in my opinion.
I hope it went well for BME as well as the resort as I hope this stop stays on the schedule for years to come.
