Review: 7mesh's Cache Anorak & Grit Pants
@mrbrighteyes lol. No you couldn't. My girlfriend is a hobbyist sewist who spends pretty much every free moment she has sewing. She makes a lot of her own clothing, and sometimes clothes for me. She won't even try to make riding clothes for me becasue the tech fabrics/ threads typically require stretch and combining panels to allow movement that is actually really complicated. TLDR: with a few weeks of sewing lessons you'd be ripping your hair out trying to make a simple button down shirt out of cotton. It would take you years of dedication and expensive equipment to make the the equivelant of 7mesh clothing. I'm only writing this because you belittled many people's profession with your post. What do you do professionaly? I bet I could just take a few weeks of classes and get up to speed right? Do your job for you? It takes a skilled human to sew clothing, even if it's a pair of pants from Walmart. The world is swamped with dirt cheap clothing options that come at the cost of many ethics being disregarded. It's pretty sad everyone flips their shit everytime someone trys to take the high road and produce high quaility stuff that will last AND compensates the producers appropriately.

Derek Teel of Dialed Health Suffers Extensive Injuries After Being Struck By Driver in Hit & Run
Your opinion is totally valid, but I'm so fucking sick of hearing this sentiment more and more these days, it's incredibly sad that shitty drivers and car focussed transportation infrastrucure have taken the joys of bike commuting and cycling away from people. Fuck cars, and fuck the self centered negligent pricks that are too often driving them. The amount of shitty driving in my area has soared the past few years. I experience it on foot, on a bike, and when I'm driving. It's starting to feel like there's no humanity left in people, given the way they choose to operate 3,000 lbs of metal around people that have zero protection.

Crankworx Adds Women's Category to the FMBA Slopestyle World Championship on the 2024 World Tour
I'm sure I'm a minority around here but I've never really gotten much out of watching Semenuk and the like. The riding is just so completely unrelatable to me at that level. I mostly enjoy watching local shredders, people who are definitly riding at a level above my own but not in a way that is unfathomable. The new wave of women riding is quite interesting, the progression has been very rapid and there's lots of new comers to the scene. That alone makes it interesting enough for me to want to watch it.

Opinion: Save the Turns, Stop the Straightlines
There's been a serious uptick in the behavior Mike is describing at the local network he and I both share. I think a lot of his sentiment comes what's been happening here locally lately. These trails existed for many years (decades in some cases) as they were built, in the last year a lot of corners are getting cut in physically, like someone is going out and grubbing out vegetation, cutting branches (and sometimes trees) and punching in a straight line when the corner used to meander around a tree. Usually it's when theres some techy roots in the original line, like the kind where you might have to actually lift your bike/hop/ whatever to clean them. The new lines are easily disguised when recovered with logs and brush. The thing that's annoying is these are all hand built trails that typically originated with one persons vision and sweat, we've all gotten to enjoy their work for years and lately there's a bunch of asshats who've decided someone else building a trail that they get to ride isn't good enough and they can modify it to fit their strava lordl/lack of skill needs. If you want a trail a certain way, go fucking build one yourself. None of the original builders are stoked on the new trend here.

Review: DVO Topaz X - Shock Week 2023
@Lololmalol: Lol ya I was surprised to see this considering the Topaz 3 came out in the last year. I've smashed that model since March, no top out clunk, very smooth dependable shock.
